Seeing Each Other into Beauty
Be the Muse, Be the Artist, Be the Art
Together we engage in an exploration of artistic partnering and embodied spirituality by combining two of the most important themes of the Women’s Spirituality Movement: Body Image and Creative Power.
We join with the intention to open ourselves to an Ensemble with the Sacred Feminine, an acceptance of the Beauty of our Bodies, the Beauty of our Vision, and into a Deep Trust of our Creative Response.
This workshop invites us into the unique exchange between artist and model. Using the artist/model relationship as experiential setting, we create supportive space to share our stories; a sacred art studio for us to make art and pose as art with each other. As we reflect and image Her beauty we view the female body as holy landscape. Our emerging feminine-ist perspective of beauty includes ourselves. Each woman will have an opportunity through movement, meditation and pose to truly inhabit her body, to display her beauty; and each will have the opportunity to bear witness to this beauty by opening to her creative expression through sketching and painting.
Seeing Each Other into Beauty was introduced in 2003 at Union Theological Seminary, NYC on International Women’s Day.
